I found roaches in my kitchen. When I requested a room change (preferably to the other side of the hotel) I was clearly inconveniencing the clerk. I'm a gold elite w/Marriott (means I stay w/them a lot) and I've never, never had an issue before this. I wldn't recommend staying here. Roaches in a room in southern FL wld be "eww"...roaches in a room in SD in the winter means something is very, very wrong!!

The Residence Inn in Sioux Falls, SD, was a winner for us. It is centrally located, has a great hot, full breakfast, and has a great staff. We were able to get a suite with a pull-out sofa so that our graduate student daughter didn't have to get a separate room; she stayed with us and saved a bundle on her limited budget. The suite was reasonably priced and clean. The hotel has a contract with a local taxi so that a trip to the airport was a set price, regardless of traffic or weather. This place was a winner.

The one bedroom suite was a perfect room! Like your own little apartment, with a kitchen, dining table, living room, and separate bedroom. A calendar on the fridge told us what things were happening in the area, and what food they had that evening at the hotel. The bed was super comfortable, I slept great! I have found my #1 choice for hotels when I travel.
