If you are attending a lecture at UF you will not be receiving any sort discount at Residence Inn. My husband and I stayed at this hotel from Thursday night to Sunday day. We would stay at this hotel again if we had to. The room was very modern in decoration. Marble counter tops in kitchen. Fresh paint. No funny smells. No bugs. Just laid out very nicely and most important it was clean. However, viewing the bathroom was like walking into a completely different realm. The paint was old and chipping a long with peeling wallpaper. It wasn’t very clean. The linoleum tile that was on the floor was very discolored like there had been a water issue in the past. The walk into the bathroom from the bedroom area was night and day. The breakfast is amazing. They offer a huge spread with just about anything you can think of. The staff were very friendly. Although I have to mention upon learning from all my classmates that everyone was getting a discount at their hotels because of the lecture at UF I thought why not see if I can get one too. After all we are staying here three nights. At check out I mentioned it to the man behind the counter and he informed me very blunt that they don’t do that and he wanted to know what kind of hotels were offering such a discount. I gave him the list of the hotels that offer discounts I would choose from next time we have a lecture at UF which will be in 2 weeks.

Nice breakfast; small but what I needed in an exercise room; 2 TV's - 1 in BR - 1 in front area; nice kitchen area but kitchen floor appeared dirty. Generous supply of towels. I felt safe there; quiet and peaceful.

Great on previous visits, nice 2-bedroom suites. Rooms very musty and dusty this time. Maybe I got a bad maid but least they could do was make bed and take out trash! Breakfast fine but reception was very light snacks. What happened to the cookies?
