Very Disappointed

After a long drive, we expected to get to the hotel, have a swim, and then have a rest. When we arrived, the outside looked fairly cute and welcoming. After checking in, we found out that there actually was no indoor pool at this hotel, and only an outdoor pool. Wish they had specified on the website! That was disappointing... We walk into our room, and it looks rather grungy, and the only thing thats been updated in the past five years has obviously been the bedding. There were four of us, and since we were traveling with a dog, we needed a first floor room. Well, there was only one king bed, and a little, tiny pull out couch. We called the front desk to get another room, with one more bed, and were informed that the first floor rooms only had the one king bed, just like ours. Bummer. As well, our sofa bed was not made, we made it ourselves and weren't too pleased to find a fork in our bed. There were about 6 channels on the tv, and nothing to watch. The next morning we all wanted to have showers, and by the third shower there were about 4 inches of water left over, as it wasen't draining. Overall, I would NEVER stay there again . :)

Dirty, Dusty and a Coffee Pot that didn't work.

I paid for a two room Suite, the Suite was not cleaned well lamps were very dusty and the mat next to the door was dirty before we even walked in, so was the carpet it looked like it had not even been vacuumed. Thought it would be nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning but the coffee pot did not work it was broken. There was spiderwebs in the bathroom behind the door with hair in it, it had been there for a while. The complimentary breakfast the sausage was dried out there was supposed to be fruit salad they were out, there was what looked to be a yogurt or a yogurt dip it was gone, This was about 7:30 a.m. With that would I go back to the Residence Inn by Marriott in Kalamazoo East? That would be a NO and I certainly would not reccomend it to noone. When I arrived with my Family we had to Park in front of the main Entrance and walked to the second to the end of the building there were no places to park in front or even close tho the building we were in. There looked to be cars that had been parked for quite some time in the Parking lot.

04/23/2008Front desk people were friendly and helpful. the room was nice and large enough. the breakfast buffet is awesome. basketball courts, pool, etc offers plenty to do if you stay ...
Front desk people were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and large enough. The breakfast buffet is awesome. Basketball courts, pool, etc offers plenty to do if you stay close to the facility. Outstanding municipal golf course, Milham Park, across the street. We had a great time.
