The hotel's exterior and location were good. The interior was standard and in generally good shape. The bathroom was generally clean, but the shower curtain had a sour mildew smell and there was some mold around the tub's grout. However, the last day of my stay, something was wrong with the hotel's plumbing and there was no hot water available throughout the entire location. When I inquired about this at the front desk, I was told that since it was Sunday, they couldn't get someone out there until later in the day (after check-out time) to look at the problem. Nobody in my party could shower because the water was just too cold (I'm not talking cool, I'm talking so cold that it was difficult to even wash your hands because it was so frigid!) The hotel would not offer any kind of reimbursement or discount because of a malfunction/defect on their end! I am upset that I was required to pay full price for a service/product that wasn't held up on their end. Ultimately, the front desk told me that they'd give me some Marriott Reward points for the issue, but she couldn't tell me how many points I would get or when I would get them (I wouldn't be surprised if I never got them). Overall, I expected more from a Marriott property and better customer service to at least attempt to resolve a major problem on their end. Had the hot water issue been handled better, this rating would be much higher.
