  Huge disappointment. The only thing good about this hotel is the location. The restaurant was not open during the posted hours. No barstools at the bar when I arrived. The room is plain at best. Desk chair didn't function. Coffeemaker did not work. No bellman and no shuttle. The employees could provide vary little information regarding local attractions.

  We stayed at Capitol Plaza for a large soccer tournament. The girls loved the hotel..very fancy compared to most "motels" we stay at for tournaments. Our only complaint was paying $129 per night and having a smoking room (which we asked for non-smoking when we booked the reservation) and 1 king size bed for 2 adults and 1 child. We are glad we took our own inflatable air bed with us. The carpet and furniture in our room is adequate...kind of dirty. But, overall it was a nice experience. The restaurant was very good. Great location.

  This is a decent business hotel. It's very convenient to the Capital (hence the name) and right off the two major highways that pass through Jeff City. The rooms are very nice with all the amenities you would expect. It would also be a convenient location for travelers, within walking distance of the major attractions. The restaurant and bar are ok, but not great, and might be a little pricey for families.
