I traveled to GA to take care of the business end of a family member's death. My mind was not focused on having to ""deal"" with any outside problems. Fortunately, I didn't have to worry about that as far as my night's lodging. I was very pleased with the location of this motel, as it was within walking distance of the courthouse. Even in the business section of Decatur, the noise from traffic was hardly heard! My bed was nice and firm, so the night's stay was peaceful. The room was clean The staff were pleasant. I have to travel back at a later date, and I plan to stay at this location again!

Upon checking in to this hotel, I was told that I needed to pay them an extra $ as I had 4 adults in my party and the rate that I received was for 2 adults. After showing the desk clerk that my reservation clearly was for 4 adults, I was then told by him and his manager that this situation was between me and the travel agency. After having to use my personal cell phone to call the travel agency to alert them of this juvenile situation, travel agency could not work anything out with them yet would refund me the money. If the "staff" at this hotel had any brains or understanding of how business is done in this country, they would recognize that this was between "them" and Travelocity. It is understandable that a business' main concern is cash flow ... it's why they exist. When it is nickel and dime stuff such as this, however, and their actions (inability to relate to a customer, not even attempting to handle the situation themselves or with their phone, etc.) clearly indicate that it is their main interest over the needs of their customer, they lose sight of the fact that the best business is repeat business. That is something they will definitely not get out of me as a customer. If you must stay at this dump with more than 2 adults and you don't want to wait on a refund, do what I should have done when asked about the number of guests ... lie.

Stayed here for one night unexpectedly and was able to walk up and book a room with no problems. Simple, small, no frills hotel, with clean rooms and really no noise. Vending machines with snacks was available and even though I was not comfortable with the outdoor and easily accessable to anyone---even a passerby if wanted, ice machine (Room doors open to outdoors). I did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Public transportation stops right across the street and the subway station is a short walk away. The hotel is also close to a supermarket, fast food and what appeared to be a small shopping area, that due to my short visit, I was not able to explore and there was also free continental breakfast and wireless internet
Would stay here again, for it is a great deal for the price. -

The staff here was horrible! They gave me a smoking room when non-smoking was confirmed. Argued with me. My keys didn't work half the time. Breakfast was instant oatmeal and toast. Room was passable. Tried to charge an extra night stay. Too bad because the location is great.
