Hotel was very nice. Most of the staff were very outgoing I only found one of them to be a little rude but who knows maybe she had a bad day. No complaints at all the room was very clean, and even had a pull out couch in my room wich came in handy when my siblings got stuck overnight because of the poor driving conditions due to the weather. The best thing about the hotel was that our King sized bed had 6 fluffy pillow's and 2 extra's in the closet along with a extra blanket. I've never stayed in a room with SIX pillows... that was like sinking into heaven. The whole place has a warm homey feeling to it very well decorated and the fire place is a great touch. We were suprized to find a welcome package right when we checked in and after a long drive up to Mauston in bad driving conditions we didn't feel like going anywhere for food so that held us over until morning. We were EXTRA suprized to find a christmas goody bag and a card on Christmas day too. VERY NICE!

The staff was very nice and informative about local area/events. Housekeeping left a little goodie bag. Rooms were very clean. Pool was clean. Mattress was very hard, not unusual in most hotels I find. Guests were quiet, even those with kids. Breakfast was provided. Cereal, breads, bananas, muffins, milk, coffee, juices. Everything was clean. Health inspector came by-left with no complaints. Smelled a little musty but might have been b/c of recent rains. Got everything I needed without an extravegant price.
