  Came to town for a recruiting event. The hotel is older and is somewhat shabby. Strangely even though there were no smoking signs on every door on my floor the hallways still smelled strongly of smoke. Once inside my room though I couldn't smell it. Must be one of the mysteries of kirskville... The toilet in my room was broken...The problem was with the chain from the handle. Easy enough to just lift the lid and pull the chain myself and I was too tired to ask them to fix it that night but I told them when I checked out...watch out for room 300.

  Front desk folks were nice and efficient. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner---there was a little more hair on the floor than I would have liked. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Maybe because it was a Sunday it was a little skimpy, but I had stayed at this same hotel about 6 months ago, and I remembered they had more selection of foods back then. Overall, I would be fine with staying here again.

  We stayed here on a Sunday evening and just about had the motel to ourselves. During previous stays in the Kirksville area, we have found this motel full of high school sports teams. On this visit, we had our choice of rooms. We were able to keep our basset hounds with us without paying the extra pet charge. I do not know if this is their normal policy or if the kid at the desk was just being friendly. The room was quiet and roomy and clean. It certainly met all our needs.
