My sisters and I were at the Motel 8 from Sept 13 to Sept 17 in Douglas, GA. The people who ran the hotel were very accommodating. The sheets were clean and smelled good and the bathroom was clean with clean towels. The room smelled good when we got there and every day they made sure the room smelled good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No I have never seen these people before I am stating this from my visit to the hotel. I will stay there again.

Very disappointed. I believe the other two reviews must have been written by owner of property or someone in his family. Super 8 has some good properties and they have some dogs, this one howls. This might have been a nice place many years ago but it is run down now. The floor sags beneath the carpet on the landings as you go up the stairs. The floors and walls are thin and there is an atmosphere of cheap and rundown about the place. The tub was dirty, hair in it, may have been wiped out but not cleaned; exhaust fan in bathroom sounded like a wood chipper. TV remote did not work til they got me a replacement and then had to come up and program it. TV and lamps did not work at all until they came up and found all the plugs pulled. One lamp finally worked. Others had TV & radio blaring, and screaming children making so much noise. Staff kept offering to move me but the only move that would have remedied the problem would have been to another hotel. I was too tired to go looking for new digs. And the Special Rate Travel agency got me was the regular rate that I would have gotten on my own. This is not the first time this has happened. Usually I can trust the reviews but these other two are WAY OFF the mark. No smiley faces--Big Frowny ones are more appropriate
