  During an unexpected stop in Lamar, Missouri (our car broke down outside of town!), my family and I stayed at the Super 8 (dropped off by a tow truck!). We were greeted by one of the front desk clerk's opening the door for us. The check in process went very smoothly and the staff was extremely courteous! Of course we had no vehicle, and one of the front desk clerks offered to let us borrow her car if we needed! They had popcorn and brownies available for evening snacks. The FREE breakfast in the morning was full of choices such as biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, muffins, waffles (you make them on the iron provided), pastries, juices and milk. I am obscessed with cleaning, and walking into hotel rooms is always nervewrecking for me. However, upon entering our room, I found there to be NO spots on the faucets, very clean floors, CLEAN sheets, and no dust! I felt very comfortable in the room and allowing my children to go barefoot! The fitness room was small, but very clean with a treadmill and stationary bicycle. The hotel has free wireless and a very nice business center. The hotel is in a great location off the highway, across the highway from a Super Wal Mart. There are many fast food restaurants within walking distance such as KFC, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and more. For the service and cleanliness, the price is VERY affordable! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who would happen to be in Lemar, Missouri. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be headed that way again, but if ever I do, I will be more than happy to stay at the Super 8 in Lemar!
