• Not what I expected

  While the hotel was clean and a good stopover, it just wasn't what I expected. It is listed as having a pool and exercise room, but it does NOT have them! This appears to be an older hotel that has been renovated and turned into a Sleep Inn, not one of the new Sleep Inns. The showers were unusual...like a pod...sort of egg shaped and very closed in..a little clausterphobic for me. The bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom and then the shower and toilet are in a small room closed off by a sliding wooden door rather than a regular door. Staff was friendly, room was small, but clean. The breakfast (which included waffles) was pretty good, but in a very cramped area, making it fairly uncomfortable once you got more than a dozen people in there. Our TV remote didn't work correctly and it was quickly replaced. So...for an economical, clean stop on the road, it may still be a good choice, but just wasn't what I was expecting. If I were traveling again and trying to be as budget friendly as possible, I might stay again, but on our return trip (stopped in a different town) we sprang for an extra $20 and stayed at another brand hotel that we were happier with.

  This motel was a surprise. I was not expecting much of anything, just a room and a decent bed to sleep. The room was spacious, a king size bed with 5 pillows and very comfortable. The shower was fantastic, not your usual tub and shower combo but a really nice shower stall with a great shower head. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and continental breakfast was the usual plus make your own waffles. All in all, a very nice stay and I would surely stay here again when we come back through the area.

  This hotel has what is problably the most comfortable beds and pillows of any under-$* room I've ever stayed in. I think the room cost was $*, and I have never been more pleased. We didn't sample the breakfast because there is a Shoneys right next to the hotel, but as far is the room is concerned, you won't find better. I usually avoid hotels with such low room prices because I'm something of a hotel snob and the low price usually means a grimey room, but that is not the case at all here. I would definately stay here again.
