I stayed there overnignt. Aug. 31-Sept 1, 09 Room: excellent! Clean, new furniture, clean and new bathroom. This hotel is ancient! I would not be surprised if it has the status of landmark. Asbury has a troubled history and it is now just beginning to resurface. I might say, in a beautiful way. This hotel is walking distance from the NUMBER ONE BEACH IN MANMOUTH COUNTY...and it has all the trimmings. The hotel itself is still finding its way. It is not there yet, however for the price and the ameneties it is way worth it. We got continental breakfast, which we did not get at 2 hotels I booked at AC for the same week!!!!!!! so... it is well worth the price... I must also say that when I got there, the price was lower than what the quote was here...go figure! so...yes...I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable. Asbury Park was not as I remembered it and I didn't think it was particularly nice back then. There were few people, few attractions and the entire place had the feel of a town that has given up on its boardwalk area. I had a low mid-week rate and was very pleased with the facilities. I don't usually seek many services so the cleanliness and security of the room is what I want most. I was completely satisfied. As for the continental breakfast, it was there every morning: coffee, bagels, pastry. Nothing special.
