We had a standard room, and got the standard room rate, since we had to book through the seminar that was using the hotel. The room was very small, the bed was not very supportive, and the clock radio did not work all the time. While I had no particular problems with the staff, I never got the feeling that my stay was appreciated. I did not feel "pampered", as one would expect with a hotel with the reputation of the LaFonda. Disappointed at the money spent, and the service recieved.

My husband and I were married at La Fonda and have returned several times since. The location is perfect. The concierge is friendly and knowledgable. We love the "old world" feel of it. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with good food. If you have a chance, stay in one of the La Terraza suites. We will definately be back.
