The hotel is located near many good restaurants and shops and just a block from San Martin's Square. A supermarket is down the street. Our suite had a small kitchen for our tea/coffee and snacks. The breakfast was fresh and it had a US newspaper there. The subway is only a few blocks away and we used it often. The hotel does not have a fancy lobby but the location and the price was very good for us.

Hotel San Martin has excellent long term accomodation for Ex-Pats. I suggest leasing the 14th floor suite which has substantial space to accomodate business meetings and after hours entertaining along with full kitchen. Kitchen staff is inexpensive and available for dinner preparations and serving. It was secure and safe although pick pockets and street crimes are quite common. Taxis are generally safe but always be aware of the situation around you. Remember you are recognizable as a foreigner by the locals. Staff was very courteous, helpful and concerned about my satisfaction. There is a complete exercise room in the lower level with individual saunas and baths for privacy. There is an outstanding view of the entire city, harbor and Rio de la Plata. It's conveniently located within 10 blocks of the Casa Rosada, Florida St. shopping and literally hundreds of outstanding eateries of all types. Standard rooms are on the small side but comfortable. Also remember that lease pricing is negotiable.
