We were given Room 149 which was the WORST room on the property- right next to the 2 doors leading outside right next to the driveway..The room had no desk but a desk chair, the mattress foundation had prongs sticking out of it which were covered by the bed skirt (my husband banged his shin twice), the mattress was probably the original one, the showerhead was not attached to the wall and the little cockroach that came out from under the microwave was the topper!! Please do not book a room at this hotel!!

It seemed to get worse with time. We had a fire alarm go off and the hotel had to be evacuated. No hotel staff made any attempt to come of out of the hotel and let everyone know it was okay to return - the firemen just nodded as they loaded their equipment back up. The last night - we were woken up when we received a call from the front desk at 11:30PM requesting that we move our car - I seriously thought I was on an episode of MTV's boiling points. Our car was parked there only because the staff there parking cars told us to with a really bad attitude. The parking lot and pool area was always crowded. The hotel did make an effort to help keep it cleared out by validating passes, however, the staff/security they had validating passes treated everyone like they shouldn't be there - very rude. The next morning as we were getting ready to depart - we had no hot water. How does this happen at a hotel?? I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Even while checking out - no one even asked how our stay was. The only thing positive about our experience there was the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner was great.

If you are a college student or teenager and you don't care about the standard of your room, then this is the place for you. I have stayed at Holiday Inn's for years and how this facility is allowed to use the Holiday Inn name, I don't know. As soon as I walked into the room I realized my family was not staying here, the walls needed painted, the carpet was worn out, the bathroom tiles were mildewed. The halls were just as bad as the rooms, they needed painted and the carpet needed replaced. The website says that they had a 2 million dollar renovation, not sure what the spent the money on. The restaurant wasn't open, it goes on and on. I immediately left and obtained a room at a resort hotel. I was charged for one night's stay * including all taxes and fees, but It was a small price to pay when considering the condition of the place. One benefit of this weak ecomony allowed me to easily find another room.

07/08/2009One of the elevators was broken. drinking water fountain in the lobby broken. public bathrooms in the lobby were closed for cleaning at very inconvenient times.
