We had a really harrowing drive because of bad weather and when we got to the hotel it was a real joy to be greeted by such nice, friendly people. The hotel was clean and pretty. The room was beautiful and the bed was phenomenal. We were exhausted and when we crawled into those beds it was like coming home. The beds and the bedding were awesome. The next morning we were up early and had the pool and hot tub to ourselves and they were clean and lovely. Then we went to breakfast and were thrilled to find that the free breakfast included hot sausage, biscuits and gravy and many other lovely items. In fact the only thing we really didn't care for were the eggs. The whole stay was lovely and we would love to stay there again.

After reading reviews of several hotels in Eugene I decided to try the Springfield Holiday Inn Express. It?s favorable reviews were well founded. Staff service was very courteous, caring and seemed genuinely friendly and not ?professionally? friendly. My double queen room was clean, bright, fresh smelling and immaculately maintained by room service. The beds were comfy. The continental breakfast was always full of happy faces enjoying a varied continental fare ? more than you usually find in comparable hotels. And if I wanted more for breakfast or brunch all I had to do was walk across the parking lot to IHOP, Denny?s or Sofia?s. There was even a Starbucks within walking distance but I chose to drive instead. Easy access from Interstate 5 and the Beltline Highway made traveling to and from quick and convenient. I?ve stayed in more ?exclusive? and comparably priced hotels that were not as enjoyable as this one. If you?re looking for a comfortable, convenient and safe place to stay while in the Eugene area you'll be very pleased with the Springfield Holiday Inn Express. I would definitely stay there again.

Summer cooling problem.
07/17/2007We stayed for three nights. the ac unit was not cooling correctly. maintenance checked it right away. when we let the front desk know it still was not cooling correctly ...
We stayed for three nights. The ac unit was not cooling correctly. Maintenance checked it right away. When we let the front desk know it still was not cooling correctly we were told ""we're going to have to find out who broke the ac, because it's a new unit."" We were given a fan making the third night more bearable. The resort has wonderful possibilities; the gardens and pool area are beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was very good, the staff friendly. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room clean and inviting.
