We travel from Costa Rica to Washington to see a soccer game and decided to stay at this hotel 6 nights. The staff is courteous, the hotel is not new but is in good condition, food is ok, rooms were serviced accordingly on a daily basis. The only thing was that we were unable to make calls room to room (they had to be performed through the operator) but that was not a bid deal. Overall we had a very good expericience according to the price we paid.

This was a very clean and upscale hotel with a few minor qurks.You must schedule the shuttle in advanced for drop off and pickup.I was not aware of this on my second night and spent $* for cab ride back from the metro station.The front desk clerk apologized and gave me breakfast on the house the next day and gladley scheduled me for drop off and pick up the next day.When scheduled, the shuttle is very punctual about pick up.The room was clean and comfortable.The morning Breakfast buffett was worth the $* that I had paid. If you need anything ie drinks/snack,ect their is a Tigermart(Exxon station) whithin walking distance.Better prices then the snack and soda machines.Their is also a laundry room on site. This hotel has it's qurks but, to be open honest it seems to be a good place to stay.I had stayed for six days and six nights. Please note if there is a problem, Please speak up and let someone know. These people where eger to fix the probelm or explain who things are done.

The staff were nonappreciative. I did not receive 1 thank you or you're welcome during my 2 day stay. I attempted to get shuttle service to the Universities and was told it was booked. I showed up the next morning to get a taxi and the shuttle was there with 5 empty seats going to the location I was going. The staff said they didn't want to double book. Double book for 3 people going to the same location??? Are you kidding me? The service was horrible. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone!!

I had scheduled a trip to the DC area for the weekend that Hurricane Hannah hit the east coast. My trip cancelled and when I cancelled my room at the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg I was informed that the charge was non-refundable. I don't remember seeing that when I made the online reservation, but it's possible I just didn't see the disclaimer. Bottom line, I have never cancelled a room 2 days in advance and not gotten a refund. I will never book a room at the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg again.

We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. We were there 14 days, and had numerous problems. No towels, no hot water, housekeeping problems, and problems with the shuttle service. The staff was not very helpful or friendly.
