I had a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn in Richmond Indiana this weekend. To start things off, I was given a really great rate on my room and a great room location near a beautiful pool room so my kids would have the convenience of the pool. My 2 yr old spiked a temp and the entire hotel staff was well aware of our needs with a sick child and did EVERYTHING they could to be sure we were comfortable. The front desk clerk even call my room to offer to go to the drug store for me if I needed any medicine. My housekeeper wrote a get-well card to my son and left some treats outside our door. Thanks to her, that is what I had for lunch that day since I could not even leave his side. The hotel has a resturant in it, and the food rates and quality were top notch. We had breakfast in the mornings for free and my kids ate free if I purchased an entree at lunch and dinner. Wow! I wrote them a letter to thank them for all of the fabulous customer service we recieved on a weekend that could have been a total disaster. They even gave my 9 and 10 yr olds toothbrushes and toothpaste since they forgot to bring their's from home. I would give this hotel 5 stars!!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have been happier with the room. First impressions were that the room (and hotel in general) were very clean and the staff was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and we had ample pillows (they also provide a pillow menu should you need a firmer/softer pillow). The TV had a wide range of channels available and the high speed internet had a great connection off the wireless. We only hit the morning buffet the first day, but we both enjoyed the selection available.
The pool and hot tub were a little disappointing. The pool water felt incredibly warm and the hot tub felt just like a pool with bubbles. However the water was clean and the smell of chlorine was really at a minimum. When the room was completely quiet we could hear the noisy group in a room near us (noise traveled through the heater). But for having renovations going on in the hotel, we were completely unaware until we were talking with the manager in the elevator. -
