Our overall experience with this hotel was very pleasant. The people were very nice, the food was very good and the pool, beach and activities for all were actually enough that you really did not have to leave for outside excursions. My only warning, this hotel had I think 6 buildings. The first room they put us in was in building number 4, it was horrible. Besides the fact that we found one of the the 5 foot glass windows was cracked in half and this was the window that the air conditioner was on. Not only was it hazardous but the entire room shuck form the air conditioner vibrating with the broken glass. We were very close to finding another hotel, we had to make a pretty big stink to get the room changed. They finally agreed to move us to building number 1. Building number 1 was very nice, it also had an ocean view which was an upgrade that they did not charge us for. It appeared that they were renovating the buildings and building 4 had not yet been renovated. Unfortunately there was really no way of knowing this until we actually got there.

Wife and I took a Thanksgiving weekend getaway to the Holiday Inn All-inclusive in Montego Bay. As a Priority Club Platinum member I expected top notched service. Well let's see. 1. Took over 30 minutes to check-in. 2. Room was very large. 3. Bathroom very small and dingy. Taking a shower with flipflops was the norm. 4. We had 4th floor view of both the pool and ocean. But the poolside entertainment, although good, was loud when time to go to bed. The room's location was great up until it was time to go to sleep. 5. Bring you own drinking mug. The free drinks come in small cups that EVERYONE seems to have shared. Yuck. My wife got sick within two day. Repeat, bring your own drinking mug. Ex. When I asked for a beer, we literally watched the bartender take a used cup, washed it in standing water and still dripping wet filled it with beer for me. Mind you, we watched this whole thing. Needless to say, I didn't drink the beer...not much else for that matter. 6. Food aplenty, tasty, and with a great variety. 7. Resort was very secure...almost fortress-like. 8. Everything was expensive. A walk across the street to the local shops will get you better prices.

2 of my friends & i stayed at this hotel back in july 2009 the trip was not a last minute decision but this hotel was my friends didnt like our room much but it was ok for a last minute thing as you view the hotel coming up understand jamaica is what it is our hotel wasnt pleasing to the eye but landscaping was beautiful as well as the dining areas & OMG the beach area was the most beautiful thing ever it made up for the things i mentioned on the other hand the hallways to our room (elevators as well) were not clean and our room was like a regular room but the view was awesome the food sooo good everywhere we ate on the grounds we loved bartendars very friendly (men & woman) & all made great drinks we brought our own cups (the cups in jamaica are small...lol like 4oz cups....really) its a family resort so if that is not your thing this hotel isnt for you the nightly entertainment was good (we were there for the weekend of the 4th of july) our cable didnt work any of the days we were there we called in the 1st day it didnt get fixed until day 4 we were only there 5 days lol but they refund us money for our cable & internet which was good if you are going anywhere there are no seat belts and they drive really really bad seriously lol BUT we enjoyed ourselves the entire time we were there the locals catch the buses with you to get to their destinations as well now i didnt like that at all you have to fight to get on the bus but you get to watch them dance & talk

our 1st day there some jamaicans on the beach tried to sell us weed....pay for your activities when you get there its much cheaper than paying through yahoo you have to make reservations for all the resturants 2 out of 3 didnt like dunn river falls the water is extremely cold and the rocks are very sharp and slippery the water shoes dont help you still get rocks in your shoes and still slip the canopy & water tubing or super super fun and the tour guides are very nice jerk chicken is grilled chicken what makes it is the sauce at dunn river when it was over & we were coming back to the bus the vendors were grabbing & pulling us basically harrassing us trying to get us to purchase things but it is over priced & you can find it at local shops outside your hotel for cheaper i am just being honest about our trip we all had so much fun b/c we remained positive & were happy to be in jamaica like they say no problems just situations and that is so true jamaica isnt like america so dont go expecting that at all they dont have the amenties as we do but you can find more upscale resorts if that is your style my husband & i are going in 2010 but not staying there at a fancier all inclusive resort hope this helped you out very very very much

Two friends & I stayed at resort in Nov. 2009. We were in Building 1 & found it to satisfactory & it looks like the 2nd picture on the site. My room was clean, my bed was made daily & I had fresh towels every day. I am a late sleeper, so I didn't bother me that they didn't get around to my room until later in the day. During my 5-day stay I found the food to be good but monotonous. The same kind of food was served daily at every meal. My only complaint about the food is that there are no fruits & vegetables available outside of breakfast, lunch, & dinner & water was didn't seem to be readily available. One can still get burgers & fries, but that gets tedious. Drinks are served in small cups &, though tasty, will not get you "buzzed."The pool gets used heavily & as a result is cloudy at the end of the day. The hot tub was only open for the last 2 days of my trip, so don't count on it during your visit. The beach around the pool area is okay. The beach near the tennis courts is much better & quieter. I found the staff to be friendly & helpful. The male staff are a bit blunt with their advances, but I suspect they are used to single women coming to Jamaica looking for some "action." Most importantly, it is safe for single women! I got the beach massage while there & loved it. The price was good & I enjoyed the massage. I would recommend it and come back again.
