Killed spiders & little black bugs in the tub each day, did not have a continental breakfast, very loud up until midnight in hall ways and by the holiidome. Had to call 3 times for wash cloths between 9:45 and 9:45. Couldnt really get cold water to drink from any facuet. Rating would be 1.5 stars. This hotel needs major renovation.

This hotel must have been nice 20 years ago. But it is in very bad shape. We had two rooms, both carpets were nasty, with stains on them. One of the rooms the walls had greasy spots on them. It looked like food may have been splattered on them at one point. The rooms had two doors, one that open up to the hallway and one that opened up to the pool area. On one of the rooms the key reader would not work, we had to go around to be able to get in the room. The bathrooms were also falling apart, the ceiling tile in the shower was off the grid and broken. And to top it all, when we got there late that night, about 10 PM, the receptionist was on the phone, I had to wait, literally 10 minutes for her to get off the phone, and come help me. I had a credit card guaranteed room, so I could not leave, or would have lost my money. The area is not safe, they even had to have a Monroe policeman stationed in their parking lot for security reasons. It was horrible. DON'T STAY THERE, unless you like crappy hotels. It was not representative of the Holiday Inn brand what so ever.

Cheap and Comfortable
06/12/2007The rooms were a little dated, but overall the stay was very pleasant. it provided a comfortable night, very quiet, and even had a lavish pool area. overall very nice.

The train was very loud and very frequently. The smell from the paper mill was overbearing and woke us up during the night. The ice machine was broken and we had to walk to the other side of the hotel. Crickets, spiders, and bugs in the rooms. All rooms should have microwaves and refridgerators. All guest should receive free cont. breakfast. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accomdating.
