06/29/2009Booked the hotel for the indoor pool which was drained. carpet in room was very dated - otherwise was an ""ok"" hotel.

The motel is very nice. The food in the restaurant was very good. It has obviously been upgraded from the traditional 70's Holiday Inn decor. The area around the motel does not appear to be to safe though.

This was my first stay ever in a Holiday Inn property and I was thoroughly impressed. In fact it has led me to stay at several other of their properties since and I have been quite happy each time. This particular hotel in Bridgeport is extremely large and is very nicely appointed. It is in a bad area of downtown, and you have to park across the street in a tight garage you pay for however. The women at the service desk were nice enough. The lobby is very nice, and the room was excellent. Great bedding, a selection of different types of pillows, good showerhead...I had breakfast delivered at 630am which was great. When I arrived, and after my breakfast was delivered, I received phone calls from the staff making sure everything was okay. The view out of the room was poor, but again, it's a bad area. I recommend this hotel if you have to stay in Bridgeport.
