A recent two-night stay at the Bartonsville HoJo provided a clean, comfortable experience at a good price. The location was close to the major highways and convenient to Pocono ski and hiking areas. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was not great, but perfectly acceptable for the prices. The indoor pool area at this hotel is much nicer than you would expect for the price. The water temperature was great, the the temperature of the room was a little chilly. It can be tricky to find a good mid-range hotel in tourist areas where things tend towards the extremes of pricey resorts or trashy-dive motels. HoJo was a good compromise.

My friends and I checked into this hotel because the reviews were good. Wow, what a disappointment. The room my boyfriend and I were in was freezing cold when we got there and the heater sounded like it was going to take off to outer space when we turned it on. Our friends' room smelled horrible. I get shivers when I think about staying there again...

Just don't be surprised if you try to go swimming on a Sunday evening and there is a church having a baptismal service. lol They got a little loud with thier music but they were out by 8/8:30pm. -

I stayed at this hotel because it got good ratings from travelers. I was very disappointed with the hotel. The lobby was beautiful and the dining room was cute, but the pool was too cold, the room and hallway smelled. The carpet was horrible and the bathroom toilet leaked. The lock on our door took 3+ times to open when we wanted to enter. This place is geared for families with older children and adults for a quick stay to sleep. The people were nice, but there was no packet in the room for the list of room service. I wish it was better.
