Took a family getaway in Cedar Falls to visit our old neighbors that moved a couple years back and forego an expensive trip this year. We stayed at the Holiday Inn... We reserved a room with 2 dbl beds, but they were all taken. The Front Desk rep went out of her way to offer a suite as an upgrade knowing the kids were excited to swim and see their friends. I'm certain my husband's Prioroty Club status helped. Regardless,from that point we experienced nothing but smiles. The staff truly seemed to enjoy there jobs. Although the hotel was older than most it was clean and well taken care of. The kids still talk about it. Thanks for making us feel at home... We look forward to next year!

Here is a list of problems encountered at my stay in this hotel: 1. Room was on second floor and there is no elevator. Had to carry all luggage up stairs and across a ramp to room. 2. There was mildew on the bathroom walls and faucets. Requests for cleaning were ignored. 3. Coffee maker not clean. 4. It took repeated requests to get a rollaway bed to the room, and when it arrived the sheets were not clean and the bed frame was rusty and bent,it looked like it had been salvaged from a dumpter. 5. Hot tub and surrounding area were not clean, and the tub jets did not work. 6. A comment card was not readily available to express all the problems listed above. I think Travel website should drop this hotel from their list of acceptable accommodations and direct people to other hotels.
