great hotel

Cockroaches in our room
04/07/2008When we arrived we noticed 4 very large cockroaches in the floor in front of the air conditionar. we thought they were dead so we tried to scoop them up ...
When we arrived we noticed 4 very large cockroaches in the floor in front of the air conditionar. We thought they were dead so we tried to scoop them up and they started kicking. Then we noticed the bathtub was horribly dirty. We called the front and they gave us a new room. Then we went to the bar for a few drinks and some dinner. The food was good and the service was okay but the bar tender was horrible, he would not stay behind the conter long enough for us to get our orders in also the bar was not stocked well at all. Most of the drinkd we ordered he did not have or did not know how to make.

Let me start out with the weirdest part. I woke up with a "D" on my leg in permanent marker! After some investigation I discovered it came from the tag on the blanket. Its was weird and probably could have been worse than on my leg. But it doesn't stop there. As soon as we got there we noticed the tub was dirty. Then we turned the lights on and seen 5-6 HUGE roaches in the floor in front of the A/C unit (they probably blew out of it) and by huge I mean an inch to an inch and a half. We thought they were dead but some were still kicking and one ran when attempted to scoop them out the door. The restaurant was great, but the bar was horrible. The bar-tender didn't know how to make half the drinks I tried to order and didn't have the stuff to make the other half. They didn't even stock Patron! Anytime we tried to get fresh drink he was nowhere to be found, we spent most our time there waiting on him!

We have family in Forrest City and have stayed at all the hotels/motels at one tine or another. We have found Hoilday Inn the best for the money. A lot of little extras. Bottled water on check-in, $10 off breakfast coupon, morning news paper.
