This hotel is not your normal Holiday Inn. It is run down and the rooms are small. I checked in and there was no air and no ice. The walkways and outside entrances were dirty and wide open for everyone to come in. Also, there were A LOT of local people in the pool area having birthday parties. It was more like a Super 8 hotel. I checked out immediately and went to a different hotel.

We decided to stay at the Holiday Inn while making a stop in the area to visit friends, after having spent a few days in Florida. We were treated like family from the moment we set foot in the door to the time we left. We had a great dinner in the hotel's restaurant, where the prices were affordable, the service was friendly, and the quality of the food was much better than what you would expect at a hotel. My kids loved the indoor pool and the video arcade game area as well.

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. On our way back from a trip to Michigan, we decided to stay at this property based on friend's suggestion. The staff at this property is the friendliest we have encountered in a long time. We were offered an upgrade to a suite when they saw the number of people traveling. The suite was well maintained and very clean. That evening we decided to eat in the hotel's dining room after having been in the car all day. The food was great, the service prompt, and the prices were extremely reasonable.

Business associates recommended this hotel. I was extremely pleased with their suggestion. The staff is the friendliest I have encountered in a very long time, the rooms are clean and modern, the restaurant has great food and the location of the hotel is perfect.
I will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn from now on when traveling to Decatur -

The hotel was near the river. The front desk staff was very friendly. The pool was a indoor and outdoor pool with games for the kids to play if they didn't want to swim.The resturant in the hotel had excellent meals.
