My family of four met up with relatives here for a family reunion. We stayed for two nights Thanksgiving weekend. To start things off Friday evening, we ate in the restaurant in the hotel. It took over an hour for us to get our food and the restaurant was nearly empty. The service was poor and management wandered around oblivious to our situation. We occupied three rooms total so it was obvious that things (lamps, chairs, etc.) were missing from our room. The bathroom had a broken shower curtain, cracked sink, and water would squish around under the tub. There are signs posted everywhere that occupancy per room is 5. On Saturday evening around 11:30, the room next to us was very, very loud with lots of people. We called the front desk, but the party continued all night. The next morning, we counted 14 people coming out of the room. It appeared to us that this hotel is a 'free-for-all' with no rules enforced. When we checked out Sunday morning, my family was complaining about the situations. The man at the front desk was indifferent and was only concerned about the details of the bill they slide under our doors. In my opinion, this hotel caters to the party crowd there to swim in their crowded waterpark on weekends. The hotel seems to be an afterthought. Also, we noticed the hotel had an unusual smell to it--smoke possibly?

I stayed here during the week for a last minute business trip i needed to take. I was worried about the waterpark when i showed up but I didnt hear any noise since my room was on the outer side of the hotel. I had free wireless internet access in my room to do my work. The restaurant and lounge area was a nice place to go to. I liked not leaving the hotel to get something to eat. I gotta say the lobby bathroom could use some refreshing but overall I would stay here again if I needed to.

We stayed over at the Mayan Adventure while my children were on Spring Break. It was a perfect getaway from the chicago weather. it was not very crowded and the price was reasonable. My kids were able to eat free in the hotels restaurant since they were under twelve. The staff was very friendly. I don't think I passed an employee once without them asking how my day was!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Elmhurst for 4 nights over Easter 2009. We booked the hotel because it had what appeared to be an awesome water park for our 2 young children to enjoy. It was also close to family that we would be visiting and Elmhurst is a nice location. We arrived at the hotel and they informed us that we would need to pay an additional $ for our family of 4 to utilize the park. We were appalled and ofcourse declined. We were not aware of that when we booked it since it seemed the park was included in the hotel stay. We got to the room, and it was clean but older and run down. The bathroom light had a timer so it turned off automatically while I was taking a shower! The room didn't have an iron so we tried to use the phone to call front desk. One phone did not work at all, the other was full of static we could barely hear. After waiting an hour, my husband had to go up to the front desk personally. There was only one small garbage can in the room, and none in the bathroom. Ordered room service and the food was less than satisfactory. Late at night, we would hear loud people and car stereo noises coming from the parking lot. We would never recommend this hotel, and never stay here again.

Yes, I am not disappointed what so ever! The staff was very well trained and very friendly. I felt right at home as I walked.in. I chose this hotel close to home for my 3 toddlers and my husband and sister-inlaw. We all had a great time. The hotel may need a little remodeling but it was very "homie". The environment was just really alive and everyone seemed to have a great time. Prices may be a little unexpected but it honestly is worth it.The waterpark is tiny but big enough for the limited. We all enjoyed the lazy river and the giant slides!! So much fun. Also I am very glad they think about us adults, by providing us with a bar inside the waterpark. Bar & Grill great food!
