I stayed in the Cherokee Holiday inn after returning from a backpacking trip in the Smoky Mountians. The facility is nice, clean, and well maintained. However, the staff was less than helpful. I asked for the best room rate, the individual helping me said $* a night. I explained that I stay at this very same hotel 3 nights earlier booked through Travel online and only paid $*. I requested a match and was refused - she said, weekend rates. I said, I will just book again through Travel onliney and she said, well go a head. So, I went into the parking lot and ot on my wireless laptop and book through Travel online at a $* discount or $*. The issue was this individual put me through some extra girations when I was tied from a 4 hour hike with a 40 pound backpack out of the woods - she could have been more helpful.

Hotel staff were very friendly. We had to go through a breezway to get to our room and there was an old mattress & picnic table on the sidewalk. These items should have been put in the dumpster or at least moved because we had to walk in the grass to get to our room. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels. It was very quiet.

We arrived 1 day eary and forgot to call to make arrangements. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. They even changed our rooms around so we would not have to move again the next day. The second day we were there the front desk brought us a small refrigerator and microwave to us during our stay with them. Having an elderly father and young son, this made things a lot easier on us. We will be staying here again. Great Job!!

the room was very clean.we had our small dog,no problem.we found the bed to be way to hard,didn't sleep good for 2 nites.front desk help very friendly.tv reception crappy.food at restaurant good.we will stay again ,we'll just bring our own foam pad,but love that they are pet friendly.
