Upon arrival bellhops were very courteous and helpful. Front desk was very efficient and our check in fast. Rooms were clean and cleaning and room service was very good. Check out was very efficient and hotel furnished transportation to airport. Now, at every level, bellhops, front desk, cleaning, restaurant someone spoke english making it very easy to communicate. All directions, menus, etc. were written in both Spanish and English. Location of hotel was great, near the Cathedral, and many sights. In Historic District. I would highly recommend to anyone going to Guadalajara to stay at the Hoiday Inn Downtown.

We stayed for one night for about $. It is NOT near the airport (the Hampton Inn is MUCH closer) and the free shuttle was not available for a 7am flight nor an 8pm arrival ... so add $ to the cost of the stay for taxis. All this said, it is a nice hotel in a nice location ... much better than I expected for a Holiday Inn. The room was large and the bed VERY comfortable. Free Internet was nice. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices and we ate on the balcony overlooking the street. The wait staff was very attentive (we were the only one there at the time)

Staff was outstanding, most of them spoke English and they were very helpful. Location was great, right in the heart of old downtown. I booked two bus tours at the hotel one to Tequila and the other to Lake Chapala, they were very good. The resturant was very good, the menu was in Spanish and English. There is no separate bar. I was traveling alone the staff took good care of me. I was very pleased with my stay there, I would stay there again. The only down side of my stay was my room faced the street, great view of the city. But I got a lot street noise in my room.
