My husband and I had to overnight in this hotel due to flight being cancelled. Late check in by very unfriendly check in person - Entrance to hotel, lobby, restuarant and swimminpool area was very nice - looked 5* to us and we were very impressed. But when we got to the room - maybe 3* compared to what we are use to in South Africa. Carpets was dirty and room very basic. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and it seemed like 4th floor had nicer rooms - possibly more expensive rooms. The food for breakfast and lunch was great and the staff there is very friendly. Later I dealt with other people at reception who was all very friendly, but when Ahmed came back on shift he was just as unhelpfull and unfriendly. So would have to say he is the worst thing about the hotel. The hotel have a shuttle service to the airport, but you can walk accross the road and cacth the airport's free shuttle also to the terminal you need. Also, accross the road is a supermarket where we got the cheapest drinks and food in all of Cairo.
