My husband & I were moving across country with our dog, and needed a place that would accept pets. We stayed at this property due to AAA ratings & their pet policies. Upon arrival the staff greeted us with huge smiles, and welcoming words. They let us know they were happy to see us, and assured us they were there for us should we need anything. Check-in & Check-Out was quick & easy thanks to the very capable staff. The hotel was clean and nicely appointed. The indoor pool area was also clean & comfortable. While the hotel was an older property with older decor, it was clean and well maintained. The only drawback for us was that our room was on the 2nd floor, which made it awkward when taking our pet outside. (We didn't request a different room, as it wasn't that big of a deal to us.) The room itself was very comfortable & clean with all the amenities one would/could need. The hotel had easy access to the freeway and plenty of parking. This hotel was reasonably priced for the experience & amenities, and we would definitely stay here again. Just for the staff alone, we give this hotel 5 Smilies. :D:D:D:D:D

In a more than three week trip this hotel provided the only full nights sleep I had. Despite its nearness to I-40, with almost endless traffic, the room was quiet. Major annoyances were 1) the tub drain could not handle the amount of water the spout/showerhead put out so one ended up standing in a pool of water, 2) the hvac unit filter needed cleaning, and 3) the level of lighting in the room for reading was poor. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful; while obviously "local" they displayed a sense of professionalism rarely found in motels today.

09/01/2006The staff was superb - friendly and helpful. took care of noisy guests immediately. only problem was smoke smell in non-smoking room.
