I was traveling long distance for several days and was looking for a nice, safe, hotel that allows pets and is midpriced (between Super 8 and Marriott). This hotel fit in perfectly. The staff was super friendly, helpful and professional and the hotel had a fun energy to it. The hotel was clean, located in a nice, safe area - not far from shopping and had easy access to I-35. The one thing I love about Drury Inn's is that they allow pets (up to a certain weight limit) and they don't charge anything for them. There are other hotels that allow pets but a lot of times they are a lot lower quality - sometimes downright creepy - or they charge ridiculous prices for the pets - not this Drury Inn. The room was great - awesome king size bed, super comfortable mattress with nice soft sheets. The room was decent sized w/exposed brick wall and had a small fridge and microwave. The TV had a good selection of cable channels to incude HBO. This hotel has a happy hour everyday from 5:30-7:00 with free drinks and snacks. The room rate includes breakfast - not made to order but plenty of hot stuff - eggs, biscuits, bacon, gravy, etc in addition to normal continental breakfast items. They also offer unlimited popcorn and pop from 3-9 or 10 pm. There is a laundry room onsite as well as a computer/printer/fax for guest use which was great for printing out mapquest directions. It also has a pool and fitness room - really everything you need when you are traveling. A lot of Drury Inn's offer the above amenities but not all are not all as nice as this one. If you are traveling through the Kansas City, stop in here! Awesome!

An older Drury gem in a great location with great rates. Easy access to I-35 for trips downtown or SW metro area; Shawnee Mission Parkway goes straight to the Plaza. Clean, comfy room with micro/fridge. Superb cable TV selection. Standard super Drury breakfast. I'm looking forward to my return.
