The motel and property were very clean, the room was well maintained and clean. The location is not far from the Newport Bridge and URI. Will not hesitate to stay there again when visiting my daughter at URI!

Excellent care from its staffs, when we asked for a microwave in the room then our wish was fulfilled within couple hours, center location was very convenience for our stay to reach out Newport beach, downtown... housekeeper made us very comfortable during our stay. Absolutely, we will return by 2010 Summer for our son graduation at Naval Academy Preparatory School.

We honestly wanted to stay right in Newport! BUT wow, the prices. So without knowing where or what this place would be like, and the distance to downtown, we arrived. IT WAS WONDERFUL. There was four adults, we wanted to stay money, so we wanted a room with 2-beds. I booked the reservation on line and was confirmed with 2-full beds. When we arrived the desk person immediately upped our room to 2 of the larger beds (without us even asking). The room was perfect. Clean, large, had everything you could ask for! The drive into Newport was 10 minutes and so easy! The next morning (I'm the coffee drinker) I went to the office because I knew they served continental breakfast, WOW, their idea of contintenal was huge. They had tables and chairs, newspapers, fresh coffee, danish, cereals, milk, jujice, make your own waffles, donuts, bagels, and more! The whole experience very nice. Now if you knew us, we own a few timeshares internationally and mostly stay in 5-6 star resorts, The Travelodge in Middletown, well, it rates with us.

The rooms were very clean, the pool area was immaculate, and the staff very accomodating. We changed from our original room (basic queen) to a larger room (king w/ sofa) on our last night due to our adding on an extra night and the staff quickly cleaned the room and made it available for an easy swiitch. The one negative was out first room was overwhelemed with carpet fresh smell - hate that smell and it never aired out. The second room in the main lodge didn't have that problem. I would recommend the larger rooms - you won't be disapointed. The complimentary breakfast is great (make your own waffles!) and the free wi-fi has good speed and no connection problems.
