I stayed at the Pear Tree Inn, St. Ann, MO, near STL Airport. A godd less expesive Hoel. Friendly staff, comfortable room. The dirty window was really not a problem, since it looked out on parking lot. And of course, lower level hotels rarely have sheer curtains for privacy, so, that, too, was not a cause for disappointment. Ah, but Drury Suites, in Paducah, KY, was a terrific experience. I give ALL facets of that stay an excellent rating. The rate section below is based on Drury Suites, Paducah, KY.

As soon as we checked in, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff person. We found the suite to be clean, well-appointed, and roomy enough for all 5 in our party. The room rate was a very good value. We knew to expect a complimentary hot breakfast (which was delicious and the staff kept things filled and clean) but other nice surprises were the free snacks in the afternoon and the complimentary baked potato/chili/hot dog bar in the evening. The pool area was nice, but we would have preferred an outdoor pool. Another perk was the free in-room high-speed internet access. I'm not that familar with Drury properties, but if the Drury Inns are as nice as this Drury Suites property was, I'll be sure to book rooms with them again in the future.
