I brought my team of softball girls and the hotel staff went out of their way to ensure this was a special stay for them during tournament time. The rooms were clean, the pool was cleaned the next morning before we awoke, the breakfast was great and complimentary, and most of all, they were helpful. Weather it was directions, where to eat, or what to do. With 11 year old girls, thats impressive! We felt safe and it was a great location. We look forward to staying with this hotel again anytime we come to town.

After we checked into our room, we left for dinner. When we returned to our room we discovered that a strange man had been checked into our room. by the hotel management No identification was required for this person to get a key. When we retuned and couldn't get into our room and went to get a new key we were given a key to the room without showing any identification. We had left a laptop computer and all of our luggage in the room. The staff finally sorted out their error and told us that they could not reimburse us for the room, but gave us a cetificate for a free night stay at the same hotel in the future. We were visiting for a relative's graduation from college and never will return to the area again. I contacted the corporate office to get a refund, but they refuse to do anything except to apologize for the ""inconvenience"". I will never stay here or at another Wingate property in the future. We were terrified the remainder of the night, but had no choice except to stay at this horrible hotel.
