The hotel is animal friendly which is a must for us. The front desk staff was friendly and informed. Nice, large room with a balcony over the river. Complimentary hot breakfast. Could not find the dog walk area. Would stay there again.

This property is probably one of the older from the Oxford chain but is well maintanied and clean. We travelled with a family of four (with a dog; pets allowed) and were hoping for more of a suite-type hotel with a separate bedroom from the living room with the sleeper sofa. Our room was about average size and although a little cramped with all of us but we made out fine for the two nights we stayed. On check-in, our room had a fairly strong air freshener smell. We prefer to smell nothing and alerted the front desk. They promptly gave us another room which was exactly the same configuration and smell so we decided to stay put rather than move the entire herd. The air freshener smell disapated within a few hours. The bed in the room was excellent but the kids complained that the sleeper sofa was fairly uncomfortable but they slept anyway. It seems that most hotels don't put enough towels in the rooms for four people and this was no different. Extras were promptly delivered. We also asked for extra blankets for the sleeper sofa; also not a problem. Pets are allowed but there is a $25 non-refundable fee which was not mentioned in any of the reservation research. This is lower than most hotels but it would have been better to have known in advance. The lounge and breakfast buffet were good and average, and the service was prompt and friendly. The location is about 20 minutes from downtown Portland or Beaverton and is easy to find. The property is in a mostly residential neighborhood and we didn't see any restaurants close but that doesn't mean they weren't around. Good place for an inexpensive get-away.

We have stayed at the Oxford about 5 times. We have always been very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and also their breakfast and evening receptions. We have yet to try the pool and spa but they look well maintained. We highly recommend this hotel.

The people/staff here were very friendly and helpful. The room and value for the money was great. I especially appreciated the staff's help in holding on to my bags during the day. Minor comment, but worth noting - the website indicates a great view of the river, but the pictures do not show the highway that run directly behind it. It was nice having the river, but the highway traffic sort of spoils the scenery. I would still return to this hotel regardless.

Stayed here for my 5 year anniversary. It wasn't Cancun but it sure was relaxing watching the river trickle by. The front desk person gave me a coupon for a free movie rental to help me continue relaxing. They made me feel so welcome and safe during my stay. I wish I could stay longer.
