A little difficult to find. Had to call the desk to get directions, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was typical rolls, cereal, bagels... no eggs, etc. Price was excellent for what you get. We had a good night's rest and an enjoyable overnight visit. The pool was enjoyed by children when we arrived. There are some interesting things to see in the area. Very quiet and good computer access via ethernet. Nice lobby and very good service by the staff. Coffee and tea available 24 hours a day in lobby.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The evening desk person, xxx, greeted everyone when they walked in the door and was very personable. We felt like he was an old friend, but I noticed he was like that with everyone else who stayed there too. The staff made fresh popcorn, hot cookies, chips and salsa every evening for the motel guests. The cleaning staff was cheerful and ready to help when needed. The pool had some garbage and toys left over from the weekend when we arrived but was cleaned up within hours. The pool, whirlpool and sauna were clean. They have a wide selection of breakfast foods in the lobby. The selection was better than I have had in higher priced places.
The price was moderate so I expected a bit less service than a higher priced motel or hotel. I was very surprised at the attention and prompt service. If I'm ever in Austin, MN again I would stay at the AmericInn.
