We stay at the Best Western everytime we go to Johnson City approximately 10 times a year and have never had a problem with the hotel. The staff is excellent, and the hotel is very clean. Also great breakfast. I must say you should ask for a tower room. I am not comfortable with doors that open to the outside parking areas.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 5 days. On the third day ,rowdy, drunken, men were put in the room next to us. I was afraid to complain b/c it was my opinion that the men would have retaliated and made more noise. I got NO sleep that night and complained at the front desk. I was told they were unwilling to move the men b/c they were a Corporate acct but they would move me, which made no sense b/c I was there 3 days before the rowdy men and I was leaving the following a.m. I asked to be credited on my bill for the lost night's sleep and was told I had to talk to the mngr. When he called me FINALLY he turned the situation into the whole incident being my fault. He said I should have called the front desk and they would have told the men to quiet down and I should have kept complaining and on the 3rd complaint he would have called the police. I would have still been awake all night long listening to rowdy drunks and calling the front desk and paying for a room I did not sleep in. The manager was adamant I would get no refund, and darn right rude and nasty. I complained 3 times asking for a refund for the sleepless night, to no avail. If you stay there and have an unpleasant experience, the management just wouldn't care. The room was chintzy and had cobwebs all over it besides. Total turned me off! RH from Manlius, NY

Drunked Louts were put into the room next to us on the third day of our stay. They kept us awake all night long with rowdy behavior. I felt if I complained to the front desk that it would make them rowdier and they would retaliate because someone complained. The following day I complained and asked for their room to be changed and was told they were a corporate account and therefore they wouldn't move them but would move me. I had been there 3 days and was leaving in one more night and didn't feel I should have to move. I was also told they would not refund my money for that night's stay even though I didn't get any sleep and paid for a room I wasn't able to sleep in. The reasoning was that I did not follow their protocol of calling the front desk to ask them to tell the drunken louts to be quiet. They said that probably wouldn't have worked but I could've called a second time and if I had called a third time about their noise a police officer would have come. They are making this incidence MY fault. Even if I called the desk 3 times and waited for the police would I not still have been awake and paid for a room that I did not sleep in? I contacted Best Western Customer Care and they contacted the hotel and they are standing firm that they will not refund the mere one night I am asking for. I will never return, and will tell everyone I know in JC to spread the word how unreasonable the management is and how unwilling they are to please the customer. DO NOT STAY THERE UNLESS YOU WANT GRIEF!

The hotel itself was nice. The room was comfortable and had the amenities our family needed. I was disappointed that 2 of the 3 pieces of equipment in the fitness room were out of order!!! Also we were there for a ball tournament and our checkout was dependent on whether we won or lost our morning game. If we won of course we would be spending another night. The boys did enjoy the pool and the breakfast buffet was great! For a bunch of ball players this was a good place to stay!

We were very pleased with the free breakfast--good quality and selection. Bed was comfortable and the desk staff were all very helpful. Have certainly stayed at worse hotels. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.
