Our stay on a Saturday night at the Red Lion in Pendleton was wonderful. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was exceptional and the Lounge/Restaurant were very good in quality, selection and preparation and with very reasonable prices for both dinner and breakfast. This latter point is important since the remainder of the town is quite short on suitable weekend eating places. I can't recommend the Red Lion Pendleton strongly enough!

We paid about $$ more for a standard room at the Red Lion than it would have cost to stay at one of the budget hotel chains in Pendleton (Holiday Inn Express, Super 8, etc.) available at the same freeway off-ramp, and when we got into the room, we felt it was very much worth it. The entire facility at the Red Lion is clean, and the rooms have been updated, and the bed was similar to one of those heavenly sleepr beds you find in much more expensive hotels. Although there was no free continental breakfast, there's a Shari's restaurant in walking distance from the hotel where a full breakfast costs $5-6. We'd definitely stay here again if we're in the Pendleton area.

The only drawback of my week stay was that the wait staff in the cafe were never friendly or helpfull. They acted like it was a pain to wait on my table. A friend joined me for lunch and said he would never eat there again.

I stayed in this hotel for my trip out to Seattle as well as my return trip to Omaha. It is a clean and beautifully landscaped setting; it was also quiet, though easily accessed from the interstate. My room was spotless, recently remodeled and very comfortable. The sink was separate from the toilet and bath, which is always a plus. I ate breakfast in the on-site restaurant, reasonably priced and tasty. One entire wall of the dining room is covered in windows through which there is a panoramic view of the foothills. The staff was most welcoming and accomodating and the hotel was far more upscale than its room rate might lead you to expect!
