  Not impressed with this hotel at all. It claims to be historic and renovated, but our room was old and dingy. We went to the front desk to request extra pillows and were told that we couldn't have any because the door to the room with pillows was locked and the maintenance worker with the key was already gone for the night. Then mysteriously the key must have showed up because a little while later two pillows were delivered to our room. And our credit card was over charged. I'm not sure why this has happened I have called the hotel and emailed and am waiting on the explanation for this one.

  Stayed there for 2 nights in Feb. 2009 to see the school. Service was polite and efficient. Hotel is old but well cared for. Room was spacious. Plan to stay there again when he attends the university. Didn't have a car so I can't comment on parking.

  My family has stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 time in the past two years since my daughter became a student at WVU. We love the location since it was close to her dorm freshman year and close to her sorority house sophomore year. We like the quiet atmosphere, extremely clean rooms, and the staff has always been very accomodating. Yes, you have to park across the street due to limited space downtown, BUT simply utilize the valet service at night! Or stay put and have a drink on the rooftop outdoor area and enjoy yourselves. We'll be back there again next month...

  THE DOWNTOWN AREA WHERE THIS HOTEL IS LOCATED DOES NOT FEEL SAFE, HAD TO PARK CAR ACROSS THE STREET IN A PARKING LOT, AND WALK DOWN AN ALLEY TO GET BACK TO HOTEL. DO NOT RECOMMEND, EVEN THOUGH ROOM WAS OK. I HOPE MY CAR IS STILL THERE, OR HAS NOT BEEN BROKEN INTO, IN THE MORNING WHEN I CHECK OUT!!
