I spend 5-8 nights a month in Lake Charles with my job. I've stayed at several of the national chains, but find America's Best Suites to provide the best value. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Complementary cocktail hour, free breakfast, free internet. Every room I've stayed in has a coffee maker, mini-ref and microwave a sittting area in the room and a work desk. I plan to spend many more nights here.

The people at the hotel were extremely nice. They say this hotel has no frills, but what I experieced was good service, completmentary cocktails, a wonderful breakfast buffett, clean room, with a refrigerator, microwave, and wet bar. It was nice and quiet and my husband and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously!

Overall this is an okay place to stay. The staff were very friendly and we didn't have any problems. We had a great view of the lake from our room and it was easy to find (right off the freeway). I think that the price is a little high for the conditions of the room, not that the room was in terrible condition but for the price I would expect a little nicer. Other than that, it was a pretty nice place to stay.

Very nice hotel, staff, indoor pool, hot breakfast and social hour. The only thing, our king Suite w/sleeper sofa did not have a door, it's more like a divider. Only one T.V. for both rooms, and the bathroom is in the bedroom area, not much privacy from the kids on the sofa sleeper.

manager rude, front desk kept putting me on hold, only one person working at the front desk with no help from manager, was very rude and I have not made a reservation yet! Was told, ""This is not a home, ma'am. Two king size beds wont fit in a double bed room."" I ask you, how was I do know when one lives in another state ? Go to Best Western or other hotel you know!
