  I stayed June 11-13, 2009 during the Metropolis, IL ""Superman Celebration."" Great rate through online travel website, with the comfort of being pre-paid. Though the wallpaper was peeling, the room was pretty good. Parking, breakfast, coffee maker, air conditioning, blow dryer, iron, alarm clock, and toiletries were all free and in working, good condition. The shower was great; extremely hot water and excellent shower head. The staff was courteous and friendly, especially house keeping. I-24 accessible and a quick drive the 9 miles to Metropolis, IL. Very secure with 3-lock door system & 2-lock window, plus 2 smoke detectors & 2 sprinklers. Could have used an in room mini fridge & microwave though. All together, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay there again.

  We booked online for New Years week-end stay. This motel was very conveniently located to Harrah's casino. There was no problem what so ever with our reservation or our room being ready on time (even though we checked in a bit early). Our room was spotlessly clean and smelled nice and fresh. Cleanliness is the #1 issue with any place we stay. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. We will definately stay here in the future and highly recommend this motel.

  The staff was excellent. They were so friendly. The room was very clean and well taken care of. I admitt the carpet needed up dating, but it was overall very enjoyable. We could not beat the price anywhere else.

  We stayed at Baymont on our way from KC to ATL. It was an okay place for a one day stopover, but the beds were hard and our room was well-used. Still, after a long bit on the road, the room was a welcome relief. If you're looking for something fancy, this ain't it.

  I entered the room and immediately smelled mold/mildew. I booked a room at another hotel. The clerk was very understanding and mentioned that guests often leave due to the moldy smell. The room was dated and worn. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless budget is a major concern.
