This hotel was billed as being 3.5 stars: I'm not sure what criteria were being used to make that determination. I paid $*/night with Priceline's "Name Your Own Price," and I would not want to pay a penny more. In fact, I feel like I overpaid a bit. The hotel is not that convenient to WVU or downtown Morgantown: it's about 7-8 miles away. The arrangement of the hotel was a little confusing. It would be a nightmare for someone in a wheelchair or who has trouble walking. The decor in the rooms is a little dated. The walls are super thin. I could not only hear folks talking out in the hall; I could listen in on their conversation. The hotel offered a free continental breakfast, which I didn't know until the second/final day of my stay. When I got to my room it was pretty stuffy. I turned on the AC and nothing happened. So, I called down to the front desk. However, the "Guest Services" button on the phone didn't work. I tried dialing "0" and no one answered. I finally used my cell phone to call down to the front desk. The front desk attendant said that sometimes they take a little while to turn on, but she would have maintenance come up and check it out. As I was talking to her, the AC turned on. Having said all of that, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. So, if that's all that you require, then don't hesitate. I would be very unlikely to stay here again. It just didn't seem worth it. I'm sure there was a room closer in to Morgantown that was comparably priced and more up-to-date.

Not what we had expected. Toilet got blocked and overflowed. It took over three hours to get this rectified and cleaned up and would have taken longer if I hadn't kept on at them. Sports Bar service was awful - young waitresses not interested in 'family types' like us and this rated as some of the worst service I have experienced in my many visits to the States. Room walls paper thin and the room overlooked a service area/ back car park which sucked considering we were at a Golf Resort. Three in the room but only two towels. This is an old worn out dump - be warned.

This was the worst experience we have ever had...we are world travelers...the only thing worse than the room was the food and the service....this should not be called ""resort"" ...it apppears they are financially challenged and are cutting back on basics...too bad..

I don't agree with the other posters. I thought Lakeview was nice. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms could use an upgrade, but they were clean. I would definitely go back. We went to the spa for massages and they were great and very reasonably priced.
