Very Unhappy
10/02/2007The motel had a bad smell the carpet in our room was filthy. i do not recommend anyone to stay there until they clean the place up!

Don't stay here during Bristol race's .....
08/26/2007Just got back home from the bristol nascar race and we stayed at this hotel (stradford inn in kingsport, tn). it was probably the worst hotel i've ever stayed ...
Just got back home from the Bristol NASCAR race and we stayed at this hotel (Stradford Inn in Kingsport, TN). It was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.... and I've stayed in a lot! We paid over * for 2 people for 2 nights.... however, the sign out front stated rooms were *and up for one person..... TOTALLY misleading!! For the price we paid, we should have expected "The Ritz".... but instead it was a total dump! Nasty rooms, floors, bathrooms, towels, etc. NEVER AGAIN. The lady at the desk said that the "up charge" was because of the race and that they would have to have more housekeeping staff on duty... yet, we never had clean towels in the room or anything..... anything we had, we had to make a special trip to the desk and get it ourselves. Next time, we'll stay elsewhere for the race, or we'll camp near the speedway.

ok, not NO pillows, there were pillows, but they were flat and there was only one per person. I asked 3 times for extra pillows. The first time, i was told not now by a lady, the second time, the woman rolled her eyes at me for interupting her personal coversation. She told me shed get them later and call me when i could come down and get them. The third time i just asked her if i could have a key to an empty room and id get them myself. It was midnight and i wanted to go to sleep!! she toseed a single pillow across the counter and told me thats all there was. The place was empty!!
Next of all, the room was filthy!! the floor was dirty, there was feces and hair on the toilet seat and we itched all night in bed. We turned on the lights and looked at the sheets. There were crusty white spots all over our sheets.
Just a warning to those who travel with GPS. Our GPS told us this was a Microtel Suites Hotel. It used to be but it appartently was sold. We spent the next two nights at an actual Microtel in Bristol, about 10 miles away and it was great. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT STAY at Stradford. Its awful!!! -

The air conditioning in our room didn't work; the shower had not been cleaned (there was a hair on the shower wall); there is a condom dispenser next to the elevator. My mother-in-law and brother-in-law stayed in a room nest to us which was equally nasty. They were also charged an additional 20 for a roll out bed! The girl at the front desk was not very attentive about our concerns about the room.
