  This is a first-rate hotel and I have no idea where any various negative comments have come from. The location is away from the hordes of tourists but still very convenient. Some rooms have a river view or a view of the Jungfrau. As an old hotel, the rooms are larger than in the newer ones. The restaurant serves gourmet French cooking so if you want plainer Swiss food, ask them to send you to the Laterne Restaurant which is not too far away. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the staff very friendly.
