If you think this a 5 star Spa its is not - It is not tranquil either - I went last weekend and it was full of screaming kids - probably 60% of the hotel was under 14 yrs old - The brochure is totally false advertising and does not mention anything about it being a kids spa. - There are only 2 restaurants one of which we were going to have to wait for a table for 2.5 hrs. If you want a peaceful , romantic weekend this is not the place. If you are a family with children great.

I had an amazing stay at La Costa and would go back in a heart beat. The rooms, grounds, and amenities were superb. I enjoyed all the fitness activities (the gym overlooking the beautiful grounds, a variety of fitness classes, yoga at the Chopra center, and the tennis clinic) at the resort in the morning and than would head to the adult only pool in the afternoon to relax. Resort is also kid friendly with activities, camps, and slide pool. Customer Service was exceptional. Every where I went in the resort I received a warm greeting by a staff member and they were happy to be of service with any questions.

This is a beautiful resort with a lot to offer traveling families. The kids ammenities are great, for little ones all the way up to teens. Food is a bit over-priced with a breakfast buffet @ $18 and dinner for 3 over $100. However, the surrounding beach towns offer an abundance of restaurant options for extremely affordable rates. So rent a car and go for a drive down Highway 101 and explore all that the area has to offer. This is the second time that we have traveled and stayed a week at this resort. The room that we first received left much to be desired. We backed up to a loading dock that had noisey trucks show up at 5am each morning. Thankfully, upon request, the resort moved us to another room on a nice quiet courtyard. The service at this resort is top notch. There are always staff all over the grounds, waiting to make sure you're having a nice stay. We give it a 8 out of 10 rating. Go enjoy some time at this gem.

This was our first holiday away with kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the service. It was outstanding. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the grounds. There is an abundance of activities for the children, ours loved the pool and Kidtopia. The restaurants had delicious food and the room service was fast. This is a top resort, expect to pay for the extras. It's worth it, this resort is only a short drive to the beach and all amenities. Definitely worth staying there!
