    I enjoyed my stay. We came to Monroe to attend a funeral and didn't arrive until nearly midnight. I was very pleased to find that the staff was friendly and cheerful even this late at night. I was also grateful that they hadn't given my room away because we arrived so late. The hotel and our room was very clean. The room was not fresh smelling, but it wasn't dingy. A few sprays of febreeze cleared it up completely. Everything was in working order and that's a big deal when you are in the grieving process. We felt safe in the area the hotel was located, even though it didn't look like much around the hotel. I frequented the workout room where everything but the treadmill was in working order. I would most definatley stay at this hotel again without thinking twice next time we go through Monroe.

    I anticipated a good stay in Monroe on my Thanksgiving trip, but was very disappointed. As we went up to our room, I glanced into the exercise room, as I was wanting to work out, but I saw numerous children using the equipment. The first room that we were given, the security lock fell off of the door, as I first closed it, and they had no bath towels. I thought, well, okay, I can live without the lock, and then went down to request towels. I was given towels, and looked in the exercise room again as I went by to see if the children had left,but they were still there. All of the equipment was being used by four children under 10 who were being ""watched"" by a teen who looked about 18. Disappointed, I went back up to my room, and got ready to take a hot bath, since I couln't wind down with exercise. As I prepared for my bath, I realized that the toilet no longer worked. I went down to the desk, and asked for another room. She was very nice, and gave me another, so then we had to pack up again, and get dressed again, and moved to another room that someone else had left. In this room, the lamp didn't work, and the TV had a green tint that we could not adjust to get rid of. We decided that we could live with that, as we were very tired, so we watched some green TV and slept. The next morning, I found a bill under the door, with my name, but charged to the former occupant's credit card. I was also interested to see that it was for aprox. $25 less than I had pre paid for my similar room!

    Clean motel with friendly staff. They had bottled water, snacks and a personalized welcome letter waiting for me in my room. Maybe because I'm a Choice Rewards Member? Room was good size, and beds comfortable. Pool was clean with plenty of towels. Internet service was fine. Staff directed me to several good restaurants. Will stay here again.
