  This is a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and spacious with refrigerator and microwave - beds comfortable. Has a deck with rocking chairs and great view of mountains. Air conditioning works great (for me) plenty of hot water (for my wife). Excellent alternative for the Dillard House where you can stay for about half the price of Dillard House. Front desk people extremely friendly and helpful. Have not tried the continental breakfast. I highly recommend this motel. My most recent visit Labor Day Weekend 2008.

  Although an older hotel, it was obvious the room had been remodeled not too long ago. It was very spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom was large and clean. Second floor rooms open to a balcony, but it is not a private balcony - it extends the length of the hotel and there are rocking chairs outside each room. There is a nice view from the balcony. Both the night clerk and the gentleman who checked me out were very friendly. The only downside I found was breakfast. If I stay at this hotel again, I will plan on going to one of the local restraurants or to Clayton (about 8 miles) for breakfast. Prepackaged chicken/country steak biscuits (small) and prepackaged pancakes to heat in a microwave did not hit the spot. Otherwise, though, I thoroughly enjoyed my one-night stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
