This is a wonderful place to stay, corner of King and Broad street in heart of Charleston Historical district. It is advertised in all respects. We stayed in Main House, although the carriage house rooms looked quite satisfactory also. We enjoyed our breakfast in the Ballroom daily instead of in the room.
An interesting note, when making reservatiions try Online Travel Website first. We found the Online Travel Website rate to be $* less than calling the hotel directly on the day we made the reservation. For dinner hightly suggest 82 Queen, 2 blocks away, garden or inside setting. She Crab soup is best in Savannah. -

Our room was large and comfortable and the mattress on the bed was wonderful. Having breakfast in our room and in the courtyard was a great way to start the day. The service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.

This is an absolutely beautiful inn! The suite was huge, with beautiful, wood, sliding pocket doors that seperated the two rooms. I would highly recommend The Rutledge House Inn. The staff was extremely friendly, accomodating, and beyond helpful! The staff, the rooms, the food, and the FREE parking make this one of Charleston's true B&B gems. The only issue we had was with the temperature of the rooms. The room was a little too warm, which is apparently a problem they are working on. Again, as a B&B aficionada and frequent quest, the John Rutledge House is one of my favorites!
