We were going to camp and deciaded not to so we were told about the Pagosa Lodge by a friend. When we go there the front desk was very friendly and the whole staff were eager to help us find things to do and how to get there. The room was clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever. We will be back.

You can find a much better hotel for much less, do not be fooled into thinking this is a 3 star hotel as displayed. We stayed here for only one night, and we will not return to this hotel because it was the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in. First impressions were poor, as when we parked we noticed bags of trash next to he entrance which smelled of who knows what, and it doesn't look like they clean up the cobwebs over the doors or lights, or blow away the dead brush in he parking lot and grounds. The walls and doors are dirty and beat up by long term use, our door would not shut without forcefully slamming it closed, and receptacles and carpeting in the room were marked with dirt! Our mildew smelling shower would fill up with water, even after we completely removed the stopper, and the rag left underneath the shower soaps was crispy and smelled of bath soap (almost like someone used it and folded it back up). We paid extra for a "private" balcony, which turned out to be a broken up piece of concrete crawling with ants, without chairs, and was accessible by anyone (don't bother). The game room had two games that were in disrepair and were both unplugged, and the workout facility was consumed with the smell of chlorine from the hot tubs and pool. This is a real life review from a very unhappy customer who was not treated respectfully after complaining of the conditions. Any reviews stating that this business is clean is obviously written by its owners and or staff. (I have pictures to prove the information provided above and more)
