The check in front desk clerk was very polite, knowledgeable and informative (Arizona doesn't change their clocks--daylight savings time). On the other side of the coin; the daytime check-out clerk was a bit indifferent. Nice Gym and good breakfast. I also utilized laundry facilities (nice). The only real negative thing I can say was that the hallways smelled musty and of cigarette smoke. My room didn't smell that way though.

WOW WOW WOW I travel 4 days a month and stay in a different city and hotel each time. I have never went to any hotel where the second I walked in someone was giving me 100% attention! I walked in and was immediatly greeted and given such a warm and wonderful welcome, it was like going home after being gone a long time. I didn't have to ask for one thing, the person working the desk asked every question, like she could just read my mind, I later found out that she is the manager of the hotel, and to have a manager working the desk and caring so much about what her guests need and already knowing it was WOW. When I checked out the next clerk was just as friendly and even said she hoped I returen again. The hotel was so clean, smelled good, the entire staff was great, the breakfast needs a few things like more fruit and yogurt but I loved it. I hope my job sends me back to Tucson so I can stay again.

We had to make a long weekend trip to Tucson to visit my ailing mother-in-law, so based on price, location and other reviews we picked this hotel. What a mistake. After arriving and checking in with a less than enthusiastic desk clerk we went to our room. The carpeting was FILTHY, but we figured we would just make sure to wear socks. After showering and unpacking, the air conditioner in our room decided to quit. It was 109* outside. I called the front desk and the clerk told me he was busy and would call me back, I told him this was rather important considering the temperature outside. He called back 5 minutes later and told me to come to the front desk for a new room, and the only room they had was on a different floor. So we had to pack all of our belongings back in the suitcases and move to another room without the aid of any staff, and by this time it was after 10 PM. We got to our new room, same dirty carpeting and the deadbolt on the door wouldn't close. At least the upper safety latch worked. During the stay housekeeping neglected to leave any coffee cups, or coffee, we ran out of tissues and toilet paper, too. Also, probably half the outlets in the room didn't work. Lastly, the free breakfast was horrible, stale bagels and cinnamon roles, maybe the waffles were OK, I didn't bother. Do NOT stay here, insolent staff, filthy carpeting, etc.

I've stayed in Days Inn motels many times. This stay, at the Days Inn and Suites Tucson Marana was, by far, the most pleasant. The room already had extra towels (which my wife always needs) and a wide range of pillows from which to choose. We will definately stay here again!
